King Families and Staff:
Our first meeting of the year is this Wednesday, September 13th at 5:00pm in the school library. This will be your opportunity to get up to speed on what is happening with the PTA this year. Last year saw great growth in participation and fundraising. This year is looking to be an even better year as we build on that growth.
In our first meeting we will explain what the PTA is all about for new parents and accept new members. Dues for the year are $10 so bring cash or check if you are ready to join at the meeting. Everyone is welcome to participate but only paid members can vote on PTA business.
The agenda is still being finalized but we will need to cover the following:
• Changes to school boundaries and programs in 2013-2014
• Establishing an Auction Committee for the 2013 school auction
• Budget priorities for the year
Dinner and childcare, and Spanish interpretation will be provided.
Whether or not you are able to come Thursday night, stop in at the PTA office every Friday for coffee and conversation at drop-off time (except first Friday when the Principal’s coffee chat is in the library). Keep up to date by checking the school calendar at www.kingpta.org/calendar.
