STEM Night is Wednesday, October 26, 5:30 to 7 p.m. at MLK, Jr. School for all MLK, Jr. students and families. Paige Thomas is leading the effort and is coordinating with the PTA to ensure the night is a success. The evening will feature multiple stations demonstrating math and technology games led by MLK, Jr. students, a musical performance by all 4th & 5th grade students connecting STEM and the arts, engineering and chemistry class by Saturday Academy, followed by TAG program informational meeting. We are seeking volunteers to serve dinner, create flyers, set up before, clean up after, prep materials in advance and help Mr. Klee, our music teacher, with the transition of students for the music performance. Since you want to volunteer (of course you do), please contact Nick Mathern at firstname.lastname@example.org
STEM Night is the first of four academic nights scheduled for the school year. Future events will be: “Reading Night” led by Elizabeth Israel‐Davis and grades 2-3 teachers, “Writing Night” led by Cathy Wolfe and grades K-1 teachers and “Multicultural Night” led by Alex Montfort and middle school teachers.
