We need your help in having you help our PPS kids, and hope you have time in your busy schedule to assist kids finding just the right outfit, or helping to sort donations.
Monday Oct. 1st is King’s day to send 5-6 volunteers to be a “personal shopper” to help kids receive clothing or to help sort donations to get them put out. The volunteer hours are 9:30am – 1:30pm at Marshall HS Campus, 3905 SE 91st Avenue. The main cross streets are SE 92nd and SE Powell, out by the Chucky Cheese.
The Portland Clothing Closet has been having about 57-63 kids each volunteer day and NEEDS volunteers. Each school is responsible for sending volunteers on their assigned day. We don’t want to have to send away kids because we don’t have enough volunteers.
At Marshall, enter the East side doors and we’re down the hallway on the left up the stairs and there we are. There are signs outside our door. (Our door is left of the main doors, past the flag pole) Looking forward to a super King team.
They have had over 1975 students last year and are running really, really low on gently used boys and girls jeans size 4-12, and need warm coats. King is being asked to help out this year with a “New Sock and Underwear/Boxer Drive” or a “Warm Winter Coat, Glove, and Scarf Drive”. If you would like help organize this, please contact us.
King’s 2nd volunteer day is Thurs. April. 11th, 2013
